Solar Eclipse October 23, 2014

It was a beautiful day for photographing a solar eclipse. I used a polarizing filter, 3 neutral density filters, 1000 - 6000 fps shutter speed, and a f-stop of 32. Sun spots are visible on the lower half of the sun. As the eclipse progresses, notice that the moon orbits from the right side to the top of the sun. At sun set, tree leaves made an interesting pattern.

Walking Stick

Waking up, but not too early, Cindy raised her blinds to start a new day. To her astonishment, a walking stick stopped by to say, "Good Morning" as it strolled through the world. Cindy called Karen to come take pictures of this shy, rarely seen creature. After a few cameo pictures, it crawled up a tree searching for breakfast and went off on a new day.
